បានថ្លែងនៅក្នុងពិធីដាំកូនឈើលើកទី២ ក្នុងឧទ្យានធម្មជាតិអង្គរ អ៊ីអន ថា អ្នកចូលរួមដាំកូនឈើចម្រុះចំនួន ៨០០នាក់នៅថ្ងៃនេះ មាន ៣០០នាក់ ជាភ្ញៀវកិត្តិយសនៅក្នុងប្រទេសកម្ពុជា និងចំនួន ៥០០នាក់ទៀតជាភ្ញៀវកិត្តិយសជប៉ុន ដែលបានស្កាត់មកពីទីឆ្ងាយៗនៃប្រទេសជប៉ុន។ កូនឈើទាំងនេះ នឹងបង្កើតទៅជាព្រៃបៃតងដ៏សម្បូរបែប មានមុខងារសំខាន់ៗ ក្នុងការជួយគាំពារដល់ជីវិតមនុស្សសត្វ ព្រមទាំងជួយការពារគ្រោះមហន្តរាយធម្មជាតិទៀតផង។
ឯកឧត្តម UENO Atsushi ឯកអគ្គរាជទូតជប៉ុន ប្រចាំកម្ពុជា បានបង្ហាញចំណាប់អារម្មណ៍ថា កិច្ចសហការរវាងមូលនិធិបរិស្ថានអ៊ីអន ជាមួយអាជ្ញាធរជាតិអប្សរា ក្នុងការដាំកូនឈើនៅក្នុងតំបន់អង្គរ គឺដើម្បីពង្រីកផ្ទៃដីបៃតង និងកែលម្អបរិស្ថាន ដែលមិនត្រឹមតែសម្រាប់កម្ពុជាប៉ុណ្ណោះទេ ក៏សម្រាប់ពិភពលោកទាំងមូលផងដែរ។ ការដាំកូនឈើចម្រុះនៅតំបន់អង្គរ មិនត្រឹមតែពង្រីកផ្ទៃដីបៃតងប៉ុណ្ណោះទេ ប៉ុន្តែវាក៏សម្រាប់ជួយឱ្យមានសោភ័ណភាព និងនិរន្តរភាពនៅអង្គរ។

The APSARA National Authority, in collaboration with the AEON Environmental Foundation, planted an additional 10,000 trees at the Angkor AEON Nature Park within the Angkor Archaeological Park on the morning of Saturday, 4 July 2026.
The tree-planting ceremony was presided over by H.E. Dr. Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts and President of the Board of the APSARA National Authority; H.E. UENO Atsushi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Kingdom of Cambodia; H.E. Dr. Hang Peou, Director General of the APSARA National Authority; senior leaders of the APSARA National Authority; a representative of the Siem Reap Provincial Administration; Mr. Motoya Okada, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the AEON Environmental Foundation; and approximately 800 participants, including Cambodian and Japanese representatives from the AEON Group.
Speaking at the second tree-planting ceremony at Angkor AEON Nature Park, Mr. Motoya Okada said that around 800 people participated in the event, including 300 distinguished guests from Cambodia and 500 guests who had travelled from Japan. He noted that the newly planted trees will grow into a rich forest that plays an essential role in protecting both people and wildlife while helping to reduce the impacts of natural disasters. He also expressed his hope that the forest would become a lasting symbol of friendship between Cambodia and Japan.
H.E. UENO Atsushi highlighted that the partnership between the AEON Environmental Foundation and the APSARA National Authority reflects a shared commitment to expanding green spaces and improving the environment—not only for Cambodia but also for the global community. He added that planting a diverse range of tree species in the Angkor area will enhance the site’s natural beauty while supporting its long-term environmental sustainability.
H.E. Dr. Phoeurng Sackona emphasized the vital role forests play in the Angkor region. She explained that forests help attract rainfall, sustain groundwater resources, absorb carbon dioxide and produce oxygen, provide shade for national and international visitors, and contribute significantly to protecting the ancient temples. She expressed her sincere gratitude and deep appreciation to the AEON Environmental Foundation for its continued commitment to environmental conservation and its close cooperation with the APSARA National Authority.
She further stated that the event serves as another strong example of successful collaboration between the private sector and the Royal Government of Cambodia in expanding green spaces within the Angkor site. This initiative directly supports the APSARA National Authority’s conservation strategy of “planting new trees while preserving existing forests.”
H.E. Dr. Phoeurng Sackona expressed her hope that the joint planting of 10,000 trees by Cambodia and Japan would not only strengthen environmental conservation and expand green areas but also stand as a lasting symbol of friendship and shared memories between the two nations.
This marks the second tree-planting event organized by the AEON Environmental Foundation at the Angkor AEON Nature Park, located east of Prei Temple within the Angkor Archaeological Park. The APSARA National Authority continues to work closely with private-sector partners to support ongoing reforestation efforts. To date, more than three million trees have been planted throughout the Angkor site.
