On Thursday, May 21, 2026, Mr. Huy Buoy, Deputy Director of the Department of Public Order, led a working group from the APSARA National Authority in cooperation with Mr. Hay Yong, Deputy Governor of Siem Reap City Administration, accompanied by representatives from Sangkat Kok Chak Administration and the Heritage Protection Police Unit, to organize public order and proper arrangements for vendors at three locations: the southern area of Angkor Wat’s reflecting pond, the western parking area in front of Angkor Wat, and the area surrounding Trapaing Ses.
This activity is regularly carried out by the APSARA National Authority at various locations within the Angkor area in order to enhance the site’s beauty, environment, and public order, while supporting local residents in conducting their businesses properly within the Angkor area.
The APSARA National Authority will continue cooperating with relevant institutions on this work on a regular basis and calls on all vendors to voluntarily cooperate in maintaining cleanliness, environmental sustainability, and public order in their businesses, while contributing to preserving and enhancing the value of the Angkor site.
