On the morning of June 5, 2026, the APSARA National Authority, in collaboration with the Siem Reap City Administration, planted 600 trees at eight different locations in Kravan Village, Sangkat Nokor Thom. The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to restore forest cover within the Angkor area.
The tree-planting program was attended by Mr. Ley Kimsy, Deputy Director of the Public Order Department of the APSARA National Authority, and Mr. Hai Yang, Deputy Governor of Siem Reap City. Approximately 75 officials and staff members from the APSARA National Authority and local authorities also participated in the event.
A total of 600 trees were planted during the ceremony, including 100 teal trees, 100 kakos trees, 100 kaki trees, 200 chres trees, and 100 rumduol trees.
