Recently, 20 officers from the APSARA National Authority successfully completed a three-day training course focused on “Skills for Conservation and Analysis of Ceramics.” This initiative was organized by the Department of Research, Training, and Communication, targeting professionals engaged in the conservation and analysis of ceramics from various departments, including the Department of Conservation of Monuments and Preventive Archaeology, the Department of Tourism Development and Culture, and the Preah Norodom Sihanouk-Angkor Museum.
The primary goal of this training was to impart essential knowledge and skills related to ceramic inspection, production techniques, testing methods, temperature regulation, and the identification of porcelain sources. Additionally, participants gained insights into various conservation practices relevant to ceramic preservation.
