On the morning of 21 March 2023, His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni, King of the Kingdom of Cambodia, presided over the Torch Lighting Ceremony for the 32nd SEA Games and the 12th ASEAN Para Games 2023 at the Angkor Wat.
The ceremony was attended by several members of the Cambodian leadership, including Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Samdech Krala Hom Sar Kheng, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Samdech Pichey Sena Tea Banh, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence and Chairman of the National Organizing Committee for the 32nd SEA Games and the 12th ASEAN Para Games 2023, Samdech Chaufea Veang Kong Sam Ol, Deputy Prime Minister Minister of the Royal Palace, Deputy Prime Minister Men Sam An, Minister of National Assembly-Senate Relations and Inspection, H.E. Chea Sophara, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Land Management, Urban Planning, and Construction, H.E. Dr. Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts and President of the Board of APSARA National Authority as well as the Director of APSARA National Authority and other officials.
