The restoration of the 27-meter-long third enclosure in the northwest section of Ta Prohm Temple has been successfully completed after six months of dedicated work. This project, carried out in collaboration between the APSARA National Authority and the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), began in February and concluded in early August 2025.
According to Mr. Chitranjan Kumar, Head of the Ta Prohm Temple Restoration Site, the work focused on two main sections: one measuring 10 meters and the other 17 meters in length. The enclosure had suffered extensive damage over time due to aging, lack of regular maintenance, and invasive plant roots, which had caused wall collapses and structural instability. Restoration efforts followed recommendations from ICC-Angkor/Sambor Prei Kuk.
After six months of careful restoration, Mr. Kumar reported that the enclosure is now structurally reinforced, visually improved, and safer for visitors. The restored wall enhances both the stability and the aesthetic appeal of Ta Prohm Temple, helping to preserve a site that had endured long-term deterioration.
