On the morning of March 23, 2025, a significant event took place in Sangkat Krabei Riel, Siem Reap City, where 796 families received energy-saving stoves aimed at reducing environmental pollution. The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Hor Rithanu, representing H.E. Dr. Hang Peou, Director-General of the APSARA National Authority, alongside Mr. Sakhon Borin, President of the Cambodian Civil Society Network (CCN), and Mr. Chhuon Yep, Governor of Sangkat Krabei Riel.
The distribution of these stoves, donated by Guangzhou Iceberg Environmental Consulting Services Co Ltd, reflects the leadership’s commitment to improving the lives of residents while also addressing environmental concerns. The new stoves are expected to decrease reliance on firewood, lower household expenses, increase profitability for families, and enhance the overall cooking experience.
