Recently, images of bright red cannonball tree flowers blooming around Baphuon Temple in the Angkor Archaeological Park, Siem Reap, have captured the attention of the public on social media, as well as domestic and international tourists.
The vibrant red flowers fall onto the water and cover the ground around the ancient temple, creating a stunning natural carpet that beautifully complements the timeless stone architecture of Baphuon.
Visitors can not only admire the grandeur of this ancient temple but also enjoy and photograph the breathtaking seasonal scenery created by the blooming flowers, making their experience even more memorable.
The cannonball tree has a unique flowering cycle. Its flowers bloom at night and begin falling onto the water and ground in the early morning. Therefore, early morning is the best time to witness and photograph this spectacular display of nature.
