On the afternoon of July 26, 2025, H.E. Dr. Hang Peou, Director General of the APSARA National Authority, formalized a decentralized cooperation agreement with three French institutions: SIAAP, represented by Mr. François-Marie DIDIER; SIAVB, represented by Mr. Francisque VIGOUROUX; and AGERA, represented by Mr. Jacques BELLIER. This agreement aims to enhance collaboration in improving sanitation, flood management, and overall water management in the Angkor area.
The APSARA National Authority has been engaged in cooperative water management projects with French partners at the Angkor site since 2013. The newly signed agreement reaffirms their commitment to continue this partnership for an additional two years.
