លៀងមេមត់ ជាជំនឿដែលខ្មែរគោរពតាំងពីយូរមកហើយ និងនៅតែបន្តប្រតិបត្តិរហូតដល់សព្វថ្ងៃ ជាពិសេស អ្នករស់នៅក្នុងតំបន់អង្គរ។ ការគោរពអមនុស្សមានដូចជា ព្រលឹងដូនតា អារក្ស អ្នកតាម្ចាស់ទឹក ម្ចាស់ដីជាដើម គឺជាការដឹងគុណ ដែលអមនុស្សអាចជួយឱ្យពួកគាត់បានសេចក្ដីសុខចម្រើន និងរួចផុតពីជំងឺនានា។
លោកតា ឌិន ហាន ដែលជាអ្នកស្នងរូប បានរៀបចំពិធីលៀងមេមត់នៅផ្ទះរបស់គាត់ស្ថិតនៅភូមិត្នោតជ្រុំ ឃុំដូនកែវ ស្រុកពួក មានប្រសាសន៍ថា ពិធីលៀងមេមត់ ធ្វើឡើងដើម្បីលាបំណន់ និងលាមាត់ដែលបានបន់ស្រន់ ក្រោយពីអ្នកជំងឺបានជាសះស្បើយ និងដើម្បីសុំសេចក្ដីសុខ និងសេចក្ដីចម្រើនឱ្យព្រលឹងដូនតាដែលជាគ្រូកំណើតឱ្យបានសប្បាយផង និងឱ្យអ្នកស្នងរូបបានជាពីជំងឺផ្សេងៗ ព្រមទាំង ការបង្ហាញនូវការនឹកគុណដល់ខ្មោចជីដូនជីតា ដែលបានថែរក្សាក្រុមគ្រួសារឱ្យសុខសប្បាយកន្លងមក។
លោកតា ឌិន ហាន ឱ្យដឹងទៀតថា បន្ទាប់ពីបន់ស្រន់រួចហើយ បើសិនអ្នកជំងឺបានជាសះស្បើយហើយ យើងត្រូវរៀបចំពិធីលៀងមេមត់ទៅតាមថ្ងៃខែដែលបានសន្យាជាមួយគ្រូ។ តាមជំនឿ គេធ្វើពិធីលៀងមេមត់ឱ្យចំថ្ងៃព្រហស្បតិ៍ ចំថ្ងៃពេញបូណ៌មី ខែមាឃ។ លោកតា បន្តទៀតថា មុនដល់ពិធីលៀងមេមត់នេះ យើងត្រូវធ្វើពិធីឡើងអ្នកតា នៅថ្ងៃ៣កើត ខែមាឃ ហើយបន្ទាប់ពីពិធីឡើងអ្នកតា គឺមានកិច្ចពិធីសំពះគ្រូ ដោយធ្វើឱ្យចំខែពេញបូណ៌មី។ ផុតពីនោះ បើគ្រូណាចង់លៀង គឺស្រេចតែគ្រូ តែគ្រូនេះ ២ទៅ៣ឆ្នាំទើបធ្វើម្ដង មិនកំណត់ថា ធ្វើជារៀងរាល់ឆ្នាំទេ គឺអាស្រ័យលើការសន្យាជាមួយគ្រូ និងរយៈពេលប៉ុន្មានឆ្នាំត្រូវលៀងមេមត់ជូនគ្រូ។ ពិធីលៀងមេមត់នេះ ត្រូវលេងភ្លេងមេមត់ ទើបអាចបញ្ចូលរូបបាន។
រីឯគ្រឿងរណ្តាប់ សំណែនក្នុងពិធីលៀងមេមត់ មានដូចជា គ្រូកំណើត កន្លងគ្រូកំណើត ពែបាយព្រាយ សំណែនគ្រូកំណើត គ្រែព្រះធម៌ បាយសី ជម ពិតាន តោក ជមព្រះភូមិ ក្បាលជ្រូក ម្លូ ស្លា បារី ធូប ទៀន សម្លបាយ នំអន្សម ចេកណាំវ៉ា ផ្លែឈើគ្រប់មុខ។ គ្រឿងរណ្ដាប់ទាំងអស់នេះ ត្រូវបានរៀបចំដោយអ្នកត្រូវស្នងរូបនីមួយៗផ្សេងគ្នាទៅតាមគ្រូបាអាចារ្យកាន់រៀងខ្លួនៗ មានចំនួនច្រើនមិនក្រោម១០រូបនោះឡើយ មានប្រុសស្រី ចាស់ ក្មេង និងរៀបចំនៅក្នុងរោងមួយយ៉ាងសមរម្យសម្រាប់ធ្វើកិច្ចពិធី ហើយមានក្រុមវង់ភ្លេងអារក្សផង។ ក្នុងកម្មវិធីនេះដែរ ឃើញមានអ្នកភូមិផង បានយកអង្ករ និងបច្ច័យមកចូលរួមតាមសទ្ធាផង។
តាមការសង្កេត ពិធីលៀងមេមត់ គឺពិតជាសំខាន់ខ្លាំងណាស់សម្រាប់មនុស្សខ្មែរតំបន់អង្គរ ព្រោះជាផ្នែកមួយនៃការរស់នៅរបស់ពួកគាត់ទាក់ទងនឹងជំនឿ ដែលផ្តាច់មិនបាន។ បន្ថែមពីនេះ វាក៏បង្ហាញពីការដឹងគុណចំពោះបុព្វបុរសជាគ្រូបាអាចារ្យ ជាឪពុកម្ដាយដែលបានចែកឋានទៅហើយផង។ ការជឿជាក់ និងការឃើញរឿង ហេតុការណ៍នៅក្នុងពិធីជាអ្វីដែលធ្វើឱ្យអ្នកស្រុកអង្គរយល់ថា វត្ថុស័ក្ដិសិទ្ធិ និងបារមីនៅតែមានជីវិតរស់នៅលើដែនដីអង្គរមិនសាបសូន្យទៅណា។ ការគោរពប្រតិបត្តិទាំងនេះ ជាការរួមចំណែកមួយក្នុងការថែរក្សាមរតក ជំនឿឱ្យនៅតែមានជីវិតគ្រប់ជំនាន់របស់ជាតិខ្មែរ៕

Leang Memot is a belief that Cambodians have held and continue to practice today, especially those living in the Angkor area. This ceremony is held to respect spirits, such as ancestral spirits, demons, etc., and is the gratitude that the spirits can help them to be prosperous and free from diseases.
Mr. Din Han, a Memot successor, held a Leang Memot Ceremony at his home in Tnot Chrum village, Daun Keo commune, Puok district, saying that the Leang Memot Ceremony was held to pay gratitude to the spirit after the patient was healed and to ask for happiness and prosperity for the souls of the ancestors to be happy and for the heirs to be healed from various diseases, as well as to express gratitude to the ghosts of the ancestors who kept the family healthy.
Mr. Din Han said that after the ceremony if the patient is healed, we have to hold the Leang Memot Ceremony according to the date promised by the Memot successor. According to the belief, the Leang Memot Ceremony is held on Thursday, the full moon day. He added that before this ceremony, we have to hold the Lerng Nak Ta Ceremony, and then there is a ceremony to pay respect to the Memot successor on full moon day. The Leang Memot Ceremony in Tnot Chrum village, Daun Keo commune, Puok district is held once every two to three years. This ceremony requires playing Memot music before calling the spirit.
As for the offerings in the Leang Memot Ceremony, there are pig heads, rice bowls, cigarettes, incense, candles, rice cakes, cakes, bananas, all kinds of fruits, etc. All of these items are arranged by each successor. There are more than 10 people to arrange this ceremony with the Memot music. In this program, the villagers also brought rice and contributions to participate generously.
According to observation, the Leang Memot Ceremony is very important for Cambodians in the Angkor area because it is an integral part of their lives about inseparable beliefs. In addition, it also shows gratitude to ancestors, teachers, and parents who have passed away. Believing and seeing the events in the ceremony is what makes the people of Angkor understand that sacred objects and powers are still alive in the land of Angkor. These observances are a contribution to the preservation of the heritage of faith to survive in all generations of the Khmer nation.
