មន្ត្រីជំនាញនៃអាជ្ញាធរជាតិអប្សរា កំពុងសម្អាត និងជួសជុលវត្ថុសិល្បៈចំនួន១០៥៥ បន្ទាប់ពីបានរកឃើញនៅក្នុងការធ្វើកំណាយបុរាណវិទ្យានៅទំនប់ខាងត្បូង ឈៀងខាងលិច នៃស្រះស្រង់។ បច្ចុប្បន្ន សកម្មភាពសម្អាតទាំងនេះ កំពុងប្រព្រឹត្តទៅនៅសារមន្ទីរព្រះនរោត្តមសីហនុ-អង្គរ នឹងកំពុងធ្វើការបង្ហាញជាសាធារណៈ ក្នុងកំឡុងពេលមានការរៀបចំតាំងពិព័រណ៌មិនអចិន្ត្រៃយ៍ នៃវត្ថុសិល្បៈទាំងនោះ ចំនួន១០ថ្ងៃ ចាប់ពីថ្ងៃទី១៨ រហូតដល់ថ្ងៃទី២៨ ខែឧសភា ឆ្នាំ២០២៣។

លោកស្រី បេ ស៊ីនួន មន្ត្រីបច្ចេកទេសនាយកដ្ឋានអភិរក្សប្រាសាទ និងបុរាណវិទ្យា នៃអាជ្ញាធរជាតិអប្សរា បានឱ្យដឹងថា វត្ថុសិល្បៈចំនួន១០៥៥សមុច្ច័យ ភាគច្រើនជារូបចម្លាក់ព្រះពុទ្ធ ស្ថិតក្នុងសតវត្សទី១២ និងទី១៣នៃគ្រឹស្តរាជ និងសម័យក្រោយអង្គរ។ បច្ចុប្បន្នក្រុមការងារ កំពុងធ្វើការសម្អាតកម្រិតមធ្យម ដោយវត្ថុធ្វើពីលោហៈ មានការខូចខាតជាច្រើនដូចជា៖ រុំព័ទ្ធទៅដោយកំណកដីក្តាំង ស្នឹមព័ណ៌បៃតង ពុកផុយ សឹក ច្រេះ ស្នាមប្រេះ និងបាក់ជាបំណែក។

APSARA National Authority is cleaning and repairing artefacts from excavations at the southwestern dam of Sras Srang

APSARA National Authority’s experts are cleaning and repairing 1,055 artefacts found during an archaeological excavation at the southwestern dam of Sras Srang. These cleaning activities are currently taking place at the Preah Norodom Sihanouk-Angkor Museum and will be on public display during the 10-day temporary exhibition from 18 to 28 May 2023.

According to Be Sinuon, Technical Officer of the Department of Conservation of Monuments and Preventive Archaeology of the APSARA National Authority, most of the 1,055 artefacts are statues of the Buddha in the 12th and 13th centuries AD and post-Angkorian period. Currently, the team is doing a moderate cleaning of metal objects with a lot of damage, such as being surrounded by clay, green rust, cracks and broken pieces.

To learn more about how to clean these artefacts, the public is invited to visit the temporary exhibition at the Preah Norodom Sihanouk-Angkor Museum, located in Boeung Donpa Village, Sangkat Slor Kram, Siem Reap City. The museum is open to national and international tourists from Tuesday to Sunday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm—contact: 063 763 575. The Preah Norodom Sihanouk-Angkor Museum exhibits hundreds of ancient artefacts from excavations, research and donations from the public.
