On the morning of 8 December 2025, the Ad Hoc Experts of the International Coordinating Committee for the Safeguarding and Development of the Historic Sites of Angkor and Sambor Prei Kuk (ICC-Angkor/Sambor Prei Kuk) continued their field inspections at key restoration sites within the Angkor Park ahead of the official meeting scheduled for 11–12 December 2025.
During the visit, the expert team reviewed the preparations for the reopening of the third terrace of Bayon Temple to tourists, ensuring that safety requirements, conservation standards, and visitor management measures are fully in place. The delegation also examined ongoing works related to the water management infrastructure at the Baphuon Temple complex, Phimeanakas Temple, and the surrounding areas of the former Royal Palace within Angkor Thom.
