អ្នកអភិរក្សថ្ម នៃនាយកដ្ឋានអភិរក្សប្រាសាទ និងបុរាណវិទ្យា លោក ឡុង ណារី បានឱ្យដឹងថា បន្ទាប់ពីជួសជុលដោយយកចិត្តទុកដាក់ និងហ្មត់ចត់ពីអ្នកជំនាញខ្មែរ និងបរទេស រានហាល និងបង្កាន់ដៃនាគ ដែលស្ថិតនៅទិសពាយ័ព្យប្រាសាទបន្ទាយសំរ៉ែ បានបញ្ចប់ជាស្ថាពរហើយ និងបានបង្ហាញសោភ័ណភាពស្រស់ស្អាត រឹងមាំឡើងវិញ។ លោកបន្តថា ទីតាំងនេះបានប្រែពីកន្លែងទ្រុឌទ្រោម បាក់បែក ក្លាយជាកន្លែងដ៏ទាក់ទាញ។

The restoration of the northwestern section and Naga balustrade of the Banteay Samre Temple’s terrace has been successfully completed by the APSARA National Authority team in collaboration with GIZ. This extensive project, which involved over two years of study, restoration, and conservation efforts, has transformed the previously dilapidated area into a visually appealing and structurally sound site.
According to Mr. Long Nary, a stone conservator from the Department of Conservation of Monuments and Preventive Archaeology, the careful restoration carried out by both Cambodian and foreign experts has significantly enhanced the beauty and stability of the terrace and Naga balustrade. The project, which commenced in 2023, included restoring the stone floor, Naga balustrade, and various pillars, as well as reinforcing the foundation. The restoration team meticulously addressed broken and scattered stones, either restoring them or replacing them with new stones where necessary.
Furthermore, Mr. Nary highlighted that this restoration initiative is part of a broader conservation and training program aimed at equipping APSARA National Authority officials and other professionals—such as tourism and museum agents—with skills in temple restoration and preservation. This training combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience at the Banteay Samre Temple site, facilitated by both Cambodian and German trainers.
