ក្នុងជំហានទីមួយ អាជ្ញាធរជាតិអប្សរា ជួសជុលពង្រឹងតួប៉មA ដោយក្រុមការងារបានសម្អាតរុក្ខជាតិ សម្រង់ប្លង់ ថតរូប រៀបចំឯកសារសម្អាតកំណកដី ជួសជុលពង្រឹងគ្រឹះខឿន និងជញ្ជាំង។ ប្រាសាទនេះធ្លាប់បានសម្អាត និងជួសជុលនៅសម័យបារាំងម្តងរួចមកហើយ។ ចំណែកការងារជួសជុលនេះ គ្រោងចំណាយពេលវេលា៦ខែ ចាប់ផ្តើមពីពាក់កណ្តាលខែមិថុនា ឆ្នាំ២០២៤។ អ្នកជំនាញរំពឹងថា ក្រោយការងារជួសជុលរួចរាល់ នឹងធ្វើឱ្យតួប៉មនៃប្រាសាទគោកពោធិ៍ មានភាពរឹងមាំឡើងវិញ ជាមរតកដល់អ្នកភូមិជុំវិញគោរពបូជា តាមជំនឿរហូតមក និងសម្រាប់កូនចៅជំនាន់ក្រោយ។

The APSARA National Authority is undertaking significant restoration efforts at the Kork Po Temple, specifically focusing on Tower A, which has suffered severe damage over time. This temple complex, which dates back more than 1,000 years, is constructed from brick and sandstone and is located in Kork Por Village, Daun Keo Commune, Puok District, Siem Reap Province.

Kork Po Temple comprises four towers—A, B, C, and D—each built during different eras and under various kings. Unfortunately, due to natural aging and a lack of maintenance, two of the towers (C and D) have completely collapsed. Currently, only Tower A and the surrounding walls remain intact, along with parts of Tower B.

The restoration work is being led by Hour Sothoun, an archaeologist from the Department of Conservation of Monuments and Preventive Archaeology. The initial phase of the project involves clearing vegetation, documenting the site, cleaning the soil, and reinforcing both the foundation and walls of Tower A. Previous restoration efforts occurred during the French colonial period, but ongoing deterioration necessitated this new intervention.

Scheduled to begin in mid-June 2024, the repair work is expected to take six months. Upon completion, it is hoped that the Kork Po Temple will be preserved as a significant cultural heritage site for both local villagers and future generations to appreciate and worship.

This temple complex is historically important, having been constructed in the late 8th and 9th centuries, and remains a vital part of the region’s cultural identity.
