Khim Sophal, a 45-year-old resident of North Srah Srang Village, has devoted over 20 years to the restoration of ancient temples in the Angkor area under the auspices of the APSARA National Authority. Currently, he is meticulously working on the southern central stairs and the intricate Naga balustrade on the ground floor of Angkor Wat. For Mr. Sophal, the task is not merely a job; it is a profound responsibility. He believes that restoring and preserving these ancient structures is invaluable, ensuring that the beauty and history of Khmer culture endure for future generations. His passion for ancient temples drives him to leave a lasting legacy for Cambodian children, hoping they will come to appreciate and care for these historical treasures.

Similarly, Mr. Thlok Sok, 49, shares this sentiment. Having worked in temple restoration for nearly a decade, he finds joy in his role, driven by a deep desire to see these ancient monuments remain intact forever. He emphasizes the importance of teamwork among restorers, as they collectively strive to ensure the success of their efforts.
