តាមរយៈក្រុមអ្នកជំនាញនាយកដ្ឋានអភិរក្សប្រាសាទ និងបុរាណវិទ្យា នៃអាជ្ញាធរជាតិអប្សរា បានបញ្ចប់ជាស្ថាពរ នូវការងារជួសជុលខ្លោងទ្វារខាងលិចប្រាសាទបន្ទាយក្តី ដោយបានរៀបផ្គុំថ្មទៅតាមលំនាំរូបរាងដើមនៃខ្លោងទ្វារឡើងវិញ ដើម្បីលើកតម្លៃសំណង់បុរាណ។

លោកស្រី នេត ស៊ីមន បុរាណវិទូ និងជាអ្នកមើលការខុសត្រូវនៅការដ្ឋានជួសជុលខ្លោងទ្វារខាងលិចប្រាសាទបន្ទាយក្តី បានឱ្យដឹងថា ការងារជួសជុលនៅខ្លោងទ្វារខាងលិចប្រាសាទបន្ទាយក្តីនេះ ត្រូវបានអនុវត្តចំនួនពីរដំណាក់កាល។ ដំណាក់កាលទីមួយ នៅក្នុងឆ្នាំ២០២០ ដោយចាប់ផ្តើមប្រមូលឯកសារ សិក្សាអំពីរូបរាង សម្រង់ប្លង់ សិក្សាអំពីហានិភ័យរបស់ខ្លោងទ្វារ និងចុះបញ្ជីថ្មនៅរាយប៉ាយជុំវិញខ្លោងទ្វារ។ ដំណាក់កាលទីពីរ ចាប់ផ្តើមពីឆ្នាំ២០២២មក អនុវត្តគម្រោងជួសជុលពង្រឹងតែម្តង មានការងាររុះរើថ្មទាំងអស់ ចាប់ពីគ្រឹះរហូតដល់កំពូលខាងលើ ទើបរៀបចំពង្រឹងគ្រឹះផ្គុំទៅតាមលំនាំដើមវិញ និងបានបញ្ចប់ការជួសជុលជាស្ថាពរនាចុងឆ្នាំ២០២៣។ លោកស្រីថា បញ្ហាប្រឈមជាច្រើននៅក្នុងពេលរៀបផ្គុំថ្មឡើងវិញ ដោយសារថ្មបុរាណតែងមានល្បាក់។
ក្រោយបញ្ចប់ការងារជួសជុលជាស្ថាពរ អ្នកជំនាញរំពឹងថា ខ្លោងទ្វារខាងលិចប្រាសាទបន្ទាយក្តី និងរឹងមាំឡើងវិញ ធានាសុវត្ថិភាពសម្រាប់ទេសចរឆ្លងកាត់ និងចូលមកផ្តិតយករូបភាពដ៏ស្រស់ស្អាតនៅទីនេះ។ ជាពិសេសបានលើកតម្លៃសំណង់បុរាណ រក្សាស្នាដៃទុកជាមរតកសម្រាប់មនុស្សជំនាន់ក្រោយ។

The restoration team of the Department of Conservation of Monuments and Preventive Archaeology of the APSARA National Authority has completed the restoration project of the Western Gate of Banteay Kdei Temple by reassembling the stones according to the original design of the gate to increase the value of the ancient construction.

Ms. Neth Simon, an archaeologist and site manager, said that the restoration work at the Western Gate of Banteay Kdei Temple was carried out in two phases. The first phase started in 2020 with the collection of study materials on the layout of the gate and the registration of stones scattered around the gate. The second phase started in 2022 to implement the project to restore and strengthen all the stonework from the foundation to the top and completed the project by the end of 2023. She added that there were many challenges during the reassembly of the stones because the ancient stones always had broken.
After the completion of the restoration work, the experts expect that the Western Gate of Banteay Kdei Temple will be strong and safe again for tourists to pass through and take beautiful pictures here. In particular, the value of ancient structure has been preserved as a legacy for the next generations.

It should be noted that due to age, nature, and human factors, the structures of the Western Gate of Banteay Kdei Temple were in a very dilapidated condition, the upper tower of the central tower was destroyed, leaving only two Brahma faces. After the attention of the experts of APSARA National Authority, this dilapidated gate becomes strong and beautiful, allowing tourists to pass through this gate to visit the Banteay Kdei Temple.
