ក្រុមអ្នកបច្ចេកទេសនៃអាជ្ញាធរជាតិអអប្សរា បានប្រទះឃើញសំណង់រចនាសម្ពន្ធថ្មីមួយដែលគេពុំធ្លាប់បានដឹងពីមុនមកទាល់តែសោះ គឺការសង់ជញ្ជាំងខឿនថ្មពីរជាន់ត្រួតគ្នានៅរួតទីបីរបស់ប្រាសាទបាយ័ន។

ការប្រទះឃើញសំណង់ដែលខុសប្លែកពីប្រាសាទបុរាណនានាទាំងអស់នេះ គឺក្នុងកំឡុងពេលដែលក្រុមការងារបច្ចេកទេសជួសជុលប្រាសាទកំពុងជួសជុលពង្រឹងរចនាសម្ពន្ធប្រាសាទនៅរួតទីបីនៃប្រាសាទ។ ស្ថាបត្យករ និងជាក្រុមការងារបច្ចេកទេសជួសជុលខឿនរួតទី៣ នៅប្រាសាទបាយ័ន កញ្ញា ម៉េង សុវណ្ណលីលីន មានប្រសាសន៍ថា នេះជាលើកទី២ហើយ ដែលក្រុមអ្នកបច្ចេកទេសរកឃើញថា មានការសាងសង់ខឿនប្រាសាទបុរាណត្រួតគ្នារហូតដល់ពីរជាន់នៅរួតទីបីនៃប្រាសាទបាយ័ន ដែល ខុសប្លែកពីសំណង់ប្រាសាទបុរាណនានា ដោយគេឃើញសង់ខឿនមួយជាន់រួចហើយ មានសង់ខឿនមួយទៀតបន្ថែមពីខាងក្រៅ ព្រមទាំងការប្តូរប្លង់ស្ថាបត្យកម្មក្នុងកំឡុងពេលសាងសង់នោះផង។

ក្រុមអ្នកបច្ចេកទេសបានសង្កេតឃើញថា ខឿនដែលសាងសង់មុន គឺអត់សូវមានក្បាច់រចនាទេ គឺមានតែស្នាមដាប់រំលីងថ្មតែប៉ុណ្ណោះ ចំណែកឯ ខឿនដែលសាងសង់ពង្រីកក្រោយ គឺឃើញមានក្បាច់រចនាជាចម្លាក់ពងត្រីយ៉ាងស្អាត។

ក្រុមស្ថាបត្យករ បានសន្និដ្ឋានថា ការសាងសង់ខឿនប្រាសាទបុរាណថែមថយបែបនេះ ប្រហែលបណ្តាលមកពីអ្នកសាងសង់មានការផ្លាស់ប្តូរគំនិតនៃការរចនាសំណង់ឱ្យកាន់តែស្អាតជាងមុន។ កញ្ញា សុវណ្ណលីលីន ពន្យល់ទៀតថា ការប្រទះឃើញសំណង់ប្រាសាទបុរាណមានខឿនពីរជាន់នេះ គឺជាប្រវត្តិសាស្ត្រថ្មីមួយទៀត ដែលបានបង្ហាញឱ្យអ្នកសិក្សាស្រាវជ្រាវសំណង់ ស្ថាបត្យកម្មនៅតាមប្រាសាទខ្មែរបុរាណកាន់តែបានស្វែងយល់បន្ថែមទៀត សម្រាប់ការចងក្រងផ្នែកស្ថាបត្យកម្មសម័យអង្គរទុកជាឯកសារឱ្យអ្នកស្រាវជ្រាវជំនាន់ក្រោយ៕

APSARA National Authority’s restoration team found a two-story structure on the third terrace of the Bayon temple

APSARA National Authority’s restoration team has discovered a new structure that was never known before the construction of two overlapping stone walls on the third terrace of the Bayon temple.

This structure was found during the technical team strengthening the structure of the temple on the third terrace. Meng Sovanlylin, an architect and technician working on the third terrace of the Bayon temple, said this was the second time that technicians had found a two-story structure on the third terrace of the Bayon temple that differs from other ancient temples. This structure has one platform, and another platform has been built from the outside, as well as changes in the architectural layout during construction.

Technicians have observed that the pre-built platform is less decorative, with only stone carvings, while the later-built platform has a more beautiful design.

Architects have speculated that the decline in the number of ancient temples may have been due to the builders’ change of design.
Ms. Sovann Lilin further explained that the discovery of the two-story ancient structure is another new history that has shown the scholars of the architectural construction in the ancient Khmer temples to find out more about the compilation of the architecture of the Angkorian period for the next generation of researchers.
