New visiting circuits at Phnom Bakheng give tourists more spots to visit with attractive beautification
Phnom Bakheng is a popular destination for sunrise and sunset for national and international tourists. Due to the increasing number of tourists visiting the sunrise and sunset on the top of Phnom Bakheng temple, the APSARA National Authority has recently set up a new visiting circuit to avoid crowds as well as create options for tourists, who like to watch the sunset and provide tourists with a new experience that is safe and comfortable.
The team leader of the tourism agent at Phnom Bakheng, Mr. Huth Sopheap, said that the new visiting circuit is from the foot of the mountain to the temple, and when the tourists are tired, they can also stop on the safe road, where the APSARA National Authority has set up many locations, and all of them can take pictures, such as the first destination can take pictures of Prasat Baksey Chamkrong, the second destination at the foot of the mountain, has a porch for visitors to view the entire Western Baray. In contrast, the following line upon arrival at the mountain has another porch for tourists to watch the sunrise and sunset.
Mr. Huth Sopheap said that after the tourists reach the top of the mountain, there is still a tour line, they can visit the circuit that the APSARA National Authority has prepared some essential spots, such as arranging for guests to see the top Angkor Wat, the Buddha foot and head straight up the mountain from the east.
The APSARA National Authority organizes such tours for the tourists to have a lot of experience from the beginning to the top of the mountain, such as wanting the tourists to see the temple of Baksey Chamkrong, the view of the Western Baray, Angkor Wat, and especially when visitors reach the top of the mountain, they can see the sunrise, and sunset, Siem Reap City, as well as the entire forest around Phnom Bakheng.
In organizing the new visiting circuit, the APSARA National Authority also prepared to improve the environment around the temple to enhance its beauty, such as the removal of some branches, preparation of the walkway around the temple, putting direction signs, putting poles to protect the risk areas to protect tourists’ safety. At the same time, the APSARA National Authority also requests tourists or tour guides to take visitors to visit the destinations designed so that they can see what is new and beautiful.
