     Northern Angkor Pagoda is located in Kravan village, Nokor Thom commune, Siem Reap City. This pagoda is next to Angkor Wat, 6 km from Siem Reap City.

The Northern Angkor Pagoda was established in 1432 AD. When King Ponhea Yat moved the capital from Angkor to Phnom Penh. At that time, the monks who did not follow the king also gathered to live in Angkor Wat temple and became a Buddhist pagoda until today.

This pagoda flourished during the reign of Preah Ang Chan in the 16th century, as he developed this pagoda to be famous throughout the kingdom, and this pagoda is located in the area of Angkor Wat. Many sacred Buddha statues, including Preah Ang Chek and Preah Ang Chom, which are famous in Cambodia today, were originally put in this pagoda.
