អាជ្ញាធរជាតិអប្សរា ជួសជុលចម្លាក់តោថ្មចំនួនមួយមានកម្ពស់១.៣៧ម៉ែត្រ ទទឹង៤៦សង់ទីម៉ែត្រ បែកបាក់បួនបំណែក និងបាត់បង់ជើងទាំង៤ ដែលចម្លាក់តោនេះមានទីតាំងនៅខាងស្តាំនៃជណ្តើរខាងលិចតួប៉មកណ្តាលប្រាសាទភ្នំក្រោម ដោយត្រូវប្រើពេលប្រមាណ៦ខែ។

The APSARA National Authority has successfully completed the restoration of a lion statue at Phnom Krom Temple, standing 1.37 meters tall and 46 cm wide. The statue, which had been broken into four pieces and lost all four legs, underwent approximately six months of meticulous repair work.

Stone conservation expert Try Bunly noted that the lion statue had suffered damage over time due to various factors. The remaining fragments included the head, body, and right front thighs. The restoration team began by cleaning the statue, reinforcing the stone, and reassembling the existing parts. To restore the lion to its original form, new stones were carved to replace the missing legs.

Conservationists Mr. Ian Thy and Mr. Youk Kroch emphasized the collaborative nature of the project, which involved teamwork from start to finish. Prior to cutting the new stones, experts created clay molds to match the original shape and height of the lion’s legs, ensuring an accurate restoration.

Once completed, the restored lion statue will be returned to its original location at the temple.
