The Department of Tourism Development and Culture recently hosted a hospitality capacity building workshop aimed at enhancing the skills of tourism agents after the Covid-19 pandemic. The two-day event, held on September 5-6, saw the participation of 80 individuals, including Public Order agents and tourism representatives stationed at the Angkor site.
Mr. Seng Sotheara, Director of the Department of Tourism Development and Culture, emphasized the importance of this workshop for officials and staff across all tourism destinations. He noted that tourism and public order agents are often the first points of contact for visitors, making it crucial for them to possess a strong foundation in hospitality and tourism practices.
Despite the brief duration of the workshop, Mr. Sotheara expressed optimism that participants would effectively absorb the new insights shared by the speakers. He encouraged attendees to engage actively, sharing their experiences and posing questions to enrich their understanding.
