The 8-hectare nursery station is one of the 10 stations of the APSARA National Authority. Like other stations, this station is increasing its nursery activities to prepare for the upcoming rainy season.
Ms. Chheng Vuchna, a head of the 8-hectare nursery station, said the station grows four types of luxurious trees such as Beng, Thnong, rosewood, and Chres. Now we are busy preparing the seedlings, planting them, and taking care of them, ensuring that they grow well.
At the same time, according to Ms. Vuch Natha, the station can plant about 30,000 seedlings per year for planting in the Angkor area, as well as for distribution to the outside. Currently, the station has about 60,000 saplings, from sowing in the nursery up to 2m tall.
As an environmentalist, Ms. Vuchna asks the public to help plant more saplings while the world is changing, as this will help increase forest cover and create a better environment. In addition, the public is asked to join the APSARA National Authority to plant more free seedlings.
