Mr. Prean Do said that at the restoration site of the South Gate of Ta Prohm, two workers were searching for the fallen stones different from the original location to reassemble, which was very difficult due to the number of broken and scattered stones at this gate. The search for fallen stones was based on the subsequent search for stones in the cascades. Mr. Pran Do stated that among the stones that were easy to find were carved stones.
Another stone worker, Tob Tang, similarly said that finding stones to restore the temple to its original location and restore it to its original form was important to preserve the temple’s original appearance. And rebuild the structure. He expressed his strong will that as the person in charge of the quarrying work, he would do his best to use his skills and talents to save the South Gate of Ta Prohm.
It should be noted that among the Angkor residents who have participated in the restoration of ancient temples in the past, some have a family that has been repairing Angkor for many generations, continuing from the generation of grandparents to fathers and children, and they are happy with transfer knowledge to the next generation to take care of the heritage to survive from one generation to another.
