មូលនិធិប្រាសាទពិភពលោក(World Monument Fund) របស់សហរដ្ឋអាមេរិកក្រោមកិច្ចសហប្រតិបត្តិការជាមួយអាជ្ញាធរជាតិអប្សរា កំពុងបន្តជួសជុលជណ្ដើរ និងជញ្ជាំងផ្នែកខាងត្បូងរបស់ប្រាសាទភ្នំបាខែងបន្ថែមទៀត បន្ទាប់ពីបានបញ្ចប់ការជួសជុលរចនាសម្ពន្ធជណ្តើរ និងជញ្ជាំងផ្នែកខាងកើត និងខាងជើងរួចរាល់មក។

World Monument Fund of the United States, in collaboration with the APSARA National Authority, is continuing to restore the staircase and western wall of Phnom Bakheng Temple after completing the restoration of the staircases and walls in the east and the north.
Cheam Phally, an architect and project coordinator from the World Monument Fund, said that the restoration of the southern staircase and wall of Phnom Bakheng Temple has reached 50%, which is scheduled for completion in December 2027.
Ms. Phally added that Phnom Bakheng Temple is not different from other temples, it is damaged due to the age, the tree roots, the weather, and water flow, causing damage to the structure of the temple tilt and collapse. The southern staircase and the western wall in the middle of the pyramid of Phnom Bakheng are also crumbling and cracking.
The technical team is dismantling the staircase and compacting the new foundations to repair it, while the wall must be reinforced following the Angkor Charter by the International Committee for the Coordination of Protection and Development of Angkor.
Phnom Bakheng Temple is built from natural stone cut to make a pyramid shape by adding laterite, sandstone, soil, and other sculptures to build a mountain temple.
This temple is located in the center of Yaśodharapura in 907 AD during the reign of King Yasovarman I between Bayon and Angkor Wat.
