APSARA National Authority’s technicians in collaboration with the German Apsara Conservation Project (G.A.C.P) of Germany are restoring and reinforcing the damaged southern brick tower of Preah Ko Temple.
The restoration was challenging due to the complex structure of the temple, the stone of the temple and some of the sculptures were decayed and lost. This requires great attention, especially strengthening the weight support and stabilizing the temple. This is part of the conservation work that the APSARA National Authority regularly does to maintain and enhance the value of this temple, which is more than 1,139 years old and remains strong again.
