នារសៀលថ្ងៃទី១០ ខែតុលា ឆ្នាំ២០២៣ អាជ្ញាធរជាតិអប្សរា បានសហការជាមួយធនាគារ ស៊ីអាយអិមប៊ី ភីអិលស៊ី (CIMB) បានដាំកូនឈើសរុប ១៩០០ដើមនៅខាងត្បូងកសិន្ធុអង្គរវត្ត។

On 10 October 10, 2023, APSARA Authority, in collaboration with CIMB Bank Plc, planted a total of 1,900 trees in the south of Angkor Wat’s moat.
Speaking at the ceremony, H.E. Dr. Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts and President of the Board of APSARA National Authority, considered the participation of the private sector as a contribution to promoting environmental heritage in the Angkor area. She added that the move of the private sector to join the state at this time was a good gesture to reflect the participation in the conservation of the temple, and the replanting of trees was an important part of the work of conservation of the Angkor site.
She also encouraged other private sectors to join the APSARA National Authority in this work to make the environment of the Angkor area more beautiful and attract more tourists.
Mr. Bun Yin, CEO of CIMB Bank, said that CIMB was a bank that excels in social activities, especially in the field of environment. He added that in addition to making a profit, the bank also had a policy to contribute to environmental and social issues. The institution has helped society in the work of environment, education, sports, and health.
It should be noted that this is the second time that CIMB Bank has participated in planting trees in the Angkor area, the first time was held in September 2020 in front of Banteay Kdei temple with about 400 participants. This time has more than 200 participants. The tree planting is taking place at the same time as CIMB Bank Plc is holding a board meeting in Siem Reap.
