នៅព្រឹកថ្ងៃទី៤ ខែតុលា ឆ្នាំ២០២៣នេះ ក្រុមការងារនៃនាយកដ្ឋានគ្រប់គ្រងទឹក ព្រៃឈើ និងហេដ្ឋារចនាសម្ព័ន្ធ នៃអាជ្ញាធរជាតិអប្សរា កំពុងមមាញឹកខ្លាំងដើម្បីគ្រប់គ្រង និងបញ្ជៀសទឹកដែលកំពុងហូរពីផ្នែកខាងលើ មកដល់តំបន់រមណីយដ្ឋានអង្គរ។
លោក ភឿន សុឃីម ប្រធាននាយកដ្ឋានគ្រប់គ្រងទឹក ព្រៃឈើ និងហេដ្ឋារចនាសម្ព័ន្ធ បានឱ្យដឹងថា គិតត្រឹមថ្ងៃទី៤ ខែតុលានេះ ស្ថានភាពទឹកនៅតំបន់រមណីយដ្ឋានអង្គរកំពុងហក់ឡើងខ្លាំង។ ដើម្បីបង្ការបញ្ហាជន់លិចតំបន់ប្រាសាទ តាមការណែនាំរបស់អគ្គនាយកអាជ្ញាធរជាតិអប្សរា បានឱ្យមន្រ្តីបើកទ្វារទឹក និងត្រៀមបញ្ជៀសឱ្យបានទាន់ពេលវេលា។ ជាក់ស្ដែងអាជ្ញាធរជាតិអប្សរាគ្រប់គ្រងទឹកបានទាំងស្រុង និងមិនមានហានិភ័យឡើយ។
លោក ភឿន សុឃីម បន្ថែមថា ទឹកទាំងនោះបានបញ្ជៀសទៅតាមទ្វារទឹកសំខាន់ៗដូចជា អូរខ្លូត អូររកាជាដើម ទម្លាក់ទៅស្ទឹងពួក ស្ទឹងព្រះស្រុក និងមួយចំនួនទៀតបញ្ចូលទៅតាមកសិន្ធុ និងបារាយណ៍ក្នុងតំបន់រមណីយដ្ឋានអង្គរ។
ស្ថានភាពទឹកនៅពេលនេះ លោក ភឿន សុឃីម បញ្ជាក់ថា មានស្ថានភាពខ្លាំងបើធៀបនឹងឆ្នាំ២០១៤។ យ៉ាងណាមិញលោកបញ្ជាក់ថា អាជ្ញាធរជាតិអប្សរាអាចគ្រប់គ្រងស្ថានការណ៍នេះបាន ដោយមិនបារម្ភពីការជន់លិចតំបន់ប្រាសាទ និងក្រុងសៀមរាបឡើយ ដ្បិតសមត្ថភាពទ្វារទឹកដែលបានសាងសង់ថ្មី និងស្ដារប្រព័ន្ធទឹកបុរាណមួយចំនួនធំឡើងវិញ បម្រើដល់ការងារគ្រប់គ្រងទឹកនេះ។

On 04 October 2023, the working team of the Department of Water, Forestry, and Infrastructure Management of the APSARA National Authority was busy controlling the water gates to avoid flooding in the Angkor site.
Mr. Phoeurn Sokhim, Director of the Department of Water, Forestry, and Infrastructure Management, said that the water level in the Angkor area was rising rapidly. To prevent flooding of the temple area, according to the instructions of the Director General of the APSARA National Authority, our officials opened the water gates in time to avoid flooding. The APSARA National Authority controls the water completely and there is no risk.
Mr. Sokhim added that the water was diverted to the main water gates such as O Khlot, O Roka, etc., dropped into Puok stream, Preah Srok stream, and some added to temple moats and barays in the Angkor area.
Regarding the water situation at the moment, Mr. Sokhim confirmed that the situation is worse compared to 2014. However, he stated that the APSARA National Authority can control this situation without worrying about flooding in the temple area and Siem Reap city, as the capacity of the newly built water gates and the restoration of a large number of ancient water systems serve this water management work.
If there is no rain in the next two to three days, the water situation in the Angkor area will remain normal soon. Mr. Sokhim asked the residents to understand during the opening of the water gates, the villagers who live near the stream will get flooded in a short time.
