នៅព្រឹកថ្ងៃទី១៥ ខែកញ្ញា ឆ្នាំ២០២៣ នេះ អាជ្ញាធរជាតិអប្សរាបានរៀបចំបាឋកថាមួយស្ដីពី ចម្លារឿងព្រះបាទសូរ្យវរ្ម័នទី២ នៅលើថែវខាងត្បូងអង្គរវត្ត តាមរយៈសិលាចារឹក និងបុរាណវិទ្យា ដែលមានអ្នកចូលរួមប្រមាណ២០០ ភាគច្រើនជាមគ្គុទ្ទេសក៍ទេសចរណ៍នៅតំបន់អង្គរ។

បាឋកថានេះបែងចែកជាពីរវគ្គ ដោយវគ្គទីមួយវាគ្មិនគឺលោក វង្ស សាវុទ្ធី ជាប្រធានស្ដីទីសារមន្ទីរកុលាលភាជន៍ អង្គរភូមិតានី  និងជាអ្នកជំនាញសិលាចារឹក។ លោកបានបង្ហាញអំពីទិដ្ឋភាពទូទៅនៃសិលាចារឹក និងសិលាចារឹកបុរាណចារនៅលើថែវអង្គរវត្ត ព្រមទាំងបកស្រាយខ្លឹមសារសិលាចារឹកទាំងនោះផង។ អង្គរវត្តជាប្រាសាទដ៏ស្កឹមស្កៃមួយ មានសិលាចារឹកប្រមាណជាង៦០ ហើយសិលាចារឹកទាំងនោះទៀតសោត បានចារនៅសម័យអង្គរខ្លះក្បែររូបតាមថែវ ហើយភាគច្រើនទំនងចារនៅក្រោយសម័យអង្គរ។

វាគ្មិនទី២ គឺលោក អ៊ឹម សុខរិទ្ធី ប្រធាននាយកដ្ឋានស្រាវជ្រាវ បណ្ដុះបណ្ដាលនិងផ្សព្វផ្សាយ ធ្វើបទបង្ហាញពីប្រវត្តិសកម្មភាពត្រួសៗរបស់ព្រះបាទសូរ្យវរ្ម័នទី២ ទំនាក់ទំនងខ្មែរ ចាម្ប៉ា និងដៃវៀត។ រឿងរ៉ាវចម្បាំងរវាងទ័ពចាម ទ័ពខ្មែរ និងដៃវៀត ទាក់ទងនឹងចម្លាក់លើថែវខាងត្បូងអង្គរវត្ត ព្រមទាំងភស្តុតាងបង្ហាញពីតើស្យាមកុកដែលនៅក្នុងក្បួនដំណើរចម្បាំងរបស់ព្រះបាទសូរ្យវរ្ម័នទី២ ជាអ្នកណា។ល៕

The lecture on the bas-relief of King Suryavarman II in the south gallery of Angkor Wat through inscriptions and archeology has received an active debate.

On the morning of 15 September 2023, the APSARA National Authority organized a lecture on the story of King Suryavarman II in the south
gallery of Angkor Wat through inscriptions and archeology, with 200 participants, mostly tour guides in the Angkor area.

The lecture is divided into two sections, with the first speaker being Mr. Vong Savuthy, the Acting Director of the Angkor Ceramics Museum at Tani, and an expert in inscription. He presented an overview of the inscriptions and ancient inscriptions in the Angkor Wat gallery as well as explained the contents of the inscriptions. Angkor Wat is a huge temple with more than 60 inscriptions, some of them are inscribed in the Angkorian period, some near the gallery, and most likely after the Angkorian period.

The second speaker was Mr. Im Sokrithy, Director of the Department of Research, Training and Communication, who gave a brief history of the activities of King Suryavarman II, Khmer-Champa, and Dai Viet relations. The story of the battle between the Cham army, the Khmer army, and the Dai Viet, is related to the bas-reliefs on the south gallery of Angkor Wat, as well as the evidence of who Siam Kok was in the procession of King Suryavarman II, etc.
