The restoration team from the Department of Conservation of Monuments and Preventive Archaeology of the APSARA National Authority is working to put maintained support to the northern gate of the East Mebon Temple, which is damaged.
This work is done to stabilize the entire structure of the gate, which is in a state of collapse as well as to use the mortar to seal the gaps between the cracked and separated stones to prevent water seepage.
This is part of the conservation work that the APSARA National Authority has been carrying out regularly to preserve the more than 1,000-year-old East Mebon temple.
