គម្រោងជួសជុលច្រាំងកសិន្ធុខាងជើង មុខប្រាសាទអង្គរវត្ត ដំណាក់កាលទី៧ ប្រវែងចំនួន២០ម៉ែត្រជាបន្តទៀត លើការងារជួសជុលពង្រឹងគ្រឹះ និងរៀបកាំជណ្តើរពីថ្មបាយក្រៀម ព្រមទាំងត្រៀមរៀបកាំជណ្តើរធ្វើពីថ្មភក់បុរាណតាមលំដើមឡើងវិញផងនោះ សម្រេចបានប្រមាណ៤០ភាគរយហើយ។

អ្នកស្រី នង បូរ៉ាវី បញ្ជាក់ទៀតថា ជំហានដំបូង ក្រុមការងារបានធ្វើកំណាយស្រាវជ្រាវ ប្រទះឃើញលូបង្ហូរទឹកបុរាណដែលមានទំនាក់ទំនងពីកសិន្ធុទឹកប្រាសាទអង្គរវត្តទៅនឹងត្រពាំងសេសនៅមានស្ថានភាពល្អ។ ជាមួយគ្នានោះ ក្រុមការងារក៏បានបិទទំនប់ទឹកដើម្បីសម្រួលដល់ការងារជួសជុលគ្រឹះច្រាំងកសិន្ធុ ធ្វើសម្រង់ប្លង់ថ្ម ដែលជ្រុះធ្លាក់ចូលទៅក្នុងច្រាំង ព្រមទាំងរុះរើថ្មដោយប្រើកៅឡាក់អូសចេញពីច្រាំងខាងក្រោមឡើងទៅច្រាំងខាងលើ លាងសម្អាត ចុះបញ្ជើថ្ម និងជួសជុល មុននឹងយកមករៀបនៅទីតាំងដើមវិញផង។
បុរាណវិទូរូបនេះ ក៏បានលើកឡើងពីបញ្ហាប្រឈមសម្រាប់ការងារជួសជុលកសិន្ធុនេះថា ដោយសារការដ្ឋានជួសជុលនៅជាប់នឹងមាត់ទឹក គឺត្រូវចំណាយពេលវេលាមួយចំនួនដើម្បីបិទទំនប់ទឹក ធ្វើយ៉ាងណាឱ្យជាប់ល្អ ព្រោះត្រូវការជួសជុលពង្រឹងគ្រឹះជាចាំបាច់។ បញ្ហាប្រឈមមួយទៀតគឺនៅអំឡុងពេលធ្វើការងារ ក៏មានជ្រាបទឹក ហើយត្រូវបូមទឹកចេញជាប្រចាំ។

Angkor Wat’s embankment restoration project in the north of the causeway to complete by the end of 2022
The seventh phase of Angkor Wat’s embankment restoration project in the north of the causeway, 20 meters long, is about 40 percent completed. The work focuses on strengthening the foundation and preparing the staircases from laterite, as well as the staircases made of ancient sandstone.
Ms. Nong Boravy, An archaeologist from the Department of Conservation of Monuments and Preventive Archaeology, and Head of the restoration site said that so far the restoration process has reached about 40 percent on strengthening the foundation as well as restoring the seven steps of laterite staircases and the original form of the ancient sewer by using the new laterite to replace the old one that was decaying in the front section next to the bank of the embankment and is ready to prepare four more sandstone staircases.
Ms. Nong Boravy added that firstly the team excavated and found the ancient drainage system that connects Angkor Wat’s moat to the ancient pond is still in good condition. At the same time, the team also closed the dam to facilitate the work of restoring the foundation of the embankment, making a list of the stones that fell into the moat, and dismantling the embankment structure to replace the decayed stones.
She also mentioned the challenge of the restoration work, due to the restoration site being next to the water, so we need to take some time to close the dam. Another challenge is that during work there is also water leakage and water must be pumped out regularly.
Angkor Wat’s western embankment is a popular destination for tourists to capture the most beautiful picture of Angkor Wat. When the renovation is completed, it will enhance the embankment beautification and preserve our ancestors’ work for many generations.
The Angkor Wat’s embankment restoration project in the north of the causeway started in March 2022 and is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2022.
It should be noted that from 2013 until 2022, APSARA National Authority restored the Angkor Wat’s embankment, totaling 143 meters.
