តួប្រាង្គបាកាននៃប្រាសាទអង្គរវត្ត គឺជាទីតាំងមួយនៅខ្ពស់ ព័ទ្ធជុំវិញទៅដោយជញ្ជាំងរោងទងថ្មពីរជាន់ ដែលមិនអាចឱ្យនាំគ្រឿងចក្រធុនតូច ឬធំចូលទៅបំរើការជួយជួសជុលនៅការដ្ឋាននោះបានឡើយ។ ឯកឧត្ដម គឹម សុធិន អគ្គនាយរងនៃអាជ្ញាធរជាតិអប្សរា មានប្រសាសន៍ថា ការជួសជុលតួប្រាង្គកណ្តាលរួតទីបីនៃប្រាសាទអង្គរវត្តបានប្រើរយៈពេលជាង១០ខែនោះ គឺប្រើកម្លាំងមនុស្សសុទ្ធសាធជាមួយនិងការតស៊ូនិងភាពអត់ធ្មត់និងយកចិត្តទុកដាក់បំផុត។

ក្រុមអ្នកជួសជុលត្រូវប្រើកម្លាំងលើកដុំថ្មថ្មីដែលត្រូវយកឡើងទៅបំពេញបន្ថែមនៅតាមកន្លែងចាំបាច់ដើម្បីពង្រឹងរចនាសម្ពន្ធ និងទ្រដុំថ្មចាស់ដែលបានរកឃើញទីតាំង។ ពេលចាប់ផ្ដើមទាញយោងឡើងដោយដៃថ្មថ្មីមួយដុំបានប្រើពេលរហូតដល់បីថ្ងៃ ទើបទាញយកបាន។ ចំណែកឯការដឹកជញ្ជូនថ្មចល័តពីកន្លែងមួយទៅកន្លែងមួយវិញទៀតសោត គឺប្រើរទេះរណេលឈើ ឬដែកទីប រុញឬទាញដោយមនុស្សយ៉ាងតិចចំនួន១២នាក់ ជួយអូសផងទាញផង និងរុញផងទើបអាចនាំថ្មចល័តទៅមកបាន។ កិច្ចការរុះរើរៀប ថ្មខឿនរួតបាកាននេះ គឺទាមទារឱ្យក្រុមអ្នកជំនាញ និងជាងរិះរកគ្រប់វិធីសាស្ត្រ បច្ចេកទេសដើម្បីពង្រឹងរចនាសម្ពន្ធសំណង់ប្រកប ឱ្យរឹងមាំឡើងវិញ ហើយមិនប៉ះពាល់ដល់សំណង់ចាស់ដែលទ្រុឌទ្រោមខូចខាត ដោយសារអាយុកាលនៃវត្ថុធាតុដើមទៀតផង។

The restoration work of Angkor Wat’s Bakan tower used only manpower from APSARA National Authority

The Bakan tower of Angkor Wat is a high place surrounded by walls of galleries, so it is impossible for bringing small or large machinery to this restoration site. H.E. Mr. Kim Sothin, Deputy Director-General of APSARA National Authority, said that the restoration work of Angkor Wat’s Bakan tower takes more than 10 months, using only manpower with perseverance and patience.

The restoration team has to use force to lift the new stones to consolidate the structure and support the old stones that are found on the site. It takes up to three days to lift each new stone manually. The team uses a wooden or metal trolley and at least 12 people to push or pull the new stones from one place to another place as well as also needs to find all the technical methods to consolidate the structure that was damaged due to the age.

He added that this is the first time that the restoration work of Angkor Wat’s Bakan tower has been using only manpower with unexpected success because it was not expected that the team would be able to complete this project on time during the Covid-19 pandemic.
