រួតបាកាននៃប្រាសាទអង្គរវត្ត ជ្រុងនិរតីនិងពាយ័ព្យនេះធ្លាប់បានជួសជុលម្ដងដោយសាលាបារាំងចុងបូព៌ាកាលពីចន្លោះឆ្នាំ១៩៣៥-១៩៣៦ ហើយក្រោយៗមក ការជួសជុលជាគម្រោងធំដុំ គឺពុំធ្លាប់មានទេ មានតែគម្រោងជួសជុលតូចតាច ដូចជា កាលពីឆ្នាំ២០០០ អាជ្ញាធរជាតិអប្សរាធ្លាប់បានជួសជុលទល់ទ្រ និងធ្វើជណ្តើរ និងមានអង្គការ GACP អាល្លឺម៉ង់ធ្លាប់ជួយជួសជុលរូបអប្សរានិងប្រាង្គមួយចំនួនដែលមានថ្មពុកផុយខ្លាំង។
ចាប់ពីខែវិច្ឆិកា ឆ្នាំ២០២១មក អ្នកជំនាញនៃអាជ្ញាធរជាតិអប្សរា បានជួសជុលតួប្រាង្គបាកាននៃប្រាសាទអង្គរវត្ត ជ្រុងនិរតីនិងពាយ័ព្យជាថ្មី ដោយប្រើឆន្ទះខ្ពស់បំផុត ពីព្រោះការជួសជុលនេះ មិនអាចនាំយកគ្រឿងចក្រចូលបាន គឺត្រូវប្រើកម្លាំងមនុស្សសុទ្ធដើម្បីលើកដុំថ្មធំៗយកទៅតម្រៀបគ្នាឡើងវិញរហូតបានសម្រេច។

The restoration work of Angkor Wat’s Bakan tower will be completed by the end of April
APSARA National Authority’s expert says that half of the western part of the Bakan tower of Angkor Wat will be even stronger.
Mr. Kham Mony, an architect in charge of the Bakan tower’s restoration site, said that the restoration project in the southwest and northwest was almost complete after a restoration team had been working for almost 10 months. This project is considered to be the first major restoration project, started on 08 November 2021.
The restoration team said that the Bakan tower of Angkor Wat in the southwest and northwest is dilapidated due to many factors, such as age, causing the stone to crack as well as natural destruction involving plants taking root, and rainwater eroding the laterite foundations. In the past, the APSARA National Authority has worked continuously, but this time, the team removed the decayed stones and put the new ones back in their original position, pushing them to a good location so that there are no more gaps. The team was happy because we were able to move some stones, which weighed more than three tons, and transported the new stones safely.
Mr. Mony continued that while restoring the Bakan tower of Angkor Wat, the team found and assembled the stones that were scattered around the platform to find their original place. At the same time, the team also helped to support the pillars, which were dilapidated.
The ruins of Angkor Wat, southwest and northwest, were once restored by EFEO between 1935 and 1936, and in 2000, APSARA National Authority used to restore and build stairs, and Germany’s GACP used to restore some Apsara bas-reliefs and towers.
After completing this project, the team will propose to restore the two corners of Bakan tower, the southeast corner and the northeast corner, which are very badly damaged.
