The causeway bridge of Angkor Wat

The causeway bridge of Angkor Wat was partially restored at the southern edge by EFEO in 1954. The Sofia Institute of Japan, in collaboration with the APSARA National Authority, completed the restoration of the 100-meter-long causeway bridge on the east side from 1996 to 2007. APSARA National Authority has planned to restore the causeway bridge of Angkor Wat from 2016 to 2020 in technical cooperation with Sofia University. According to the recommendations of the Adhoc Experts at the 29th ICC-Angkor Session in December 2017, and the first 4 to 5-meter-long restoration test, no stone blocks will be required to remove.
