Preah Pithu Temple Group

Explore the heart of the Khmer ancestral empire

The Preah Pithu Temple Group consists of five temple “T”,”U”,”X”,”V” and “Y” but it is believed that the five temples were neither constructed at the same time nor related to each other in any way. While some observe the 12th-century architectural style in the group, it is still speculated that some temples were built after the 13th century. Temple “X” is a Buddhist temple and the remaining four temples are Hindu. Around the temple there are various irrigation facilities such as the Sra(reservoir) and a moat.
