Krol Ko

Explore the heart of the Khmer ancestral empire

Built under the reign of King Jayavarman VII, KROL KO is a small temple made of sandstone. Buddha and Lokeshvara were omnipresent at the temple. This temple is a good example of an escape from iconographical destruction occurred at the end of the reign of the King, during the 13th century iconoclasm reaction (i.e Shaivite zealots).
