On December 6, 2025, the ad hoc experts from the International Coordinating Committee for the Safeguarding and Development of the Historic Sites of Angkor and Sambor Prei Kuk (ICC-Angkor/Sambor Prei Kuk), together with specialists from the APSARA National Authority, continued their inspection of the Renovation Circuit Project at Banteay Srei Temple.
During the visit, the experts listened to a detailed presentation on the progress of the renovation project and offered additional recommendations to further strengthen and improve the ongoing work.
It is worth noting that the Ad Hoc Experts have begun a series of inspections at key heritage sites to assess temple restoration efforts across the Angkor area ahead of the official ICC meeting. This week-long mission, taking place from December 1 to 9, aims to study, understand, and review restoration activities in accordance with recommendations previously made by the experts.
