International researchers share knowledge of Copper Alloy Sculpture Techniques to APSARA staffs

Many international researchers from around the world have come to present their experiences and knowledge to APSARA staffs and the public on Copper Alloy Sculpture Techniques and History at APSARA Authority Center on January 11th, 2018.

This presentation is chaired by H.E Mr. Hang Poue, Deputy Director General Representative H.E Dr. Sum Mab Director General of APSARA Authority and many international researchers from the US, France, Britain, Belgium and Lux Samson Strasbourg Argentina. The international researchers present cosmic study, which found both in Cambodia and other countries in the past.

This is the third workshop of the project, while the first one was held in the United States, second one in France and the third time in Cambodia, said Brice Vincent, Project Manager for Fondre pour le roi. The purpose of the presentation is to focus on the methodology of metals that will last from 2015-2020.

"At the workshop, we asked archaeologists to come together to talk about the different methods of producing ceramics in different countries of the times, and together, to form an idea to learn about the production of ancient metals," he said. Through this project, the metals we have researched from Cambodia, France and the United States will be studied, compiled into web-based publications and publications, enabling researchers, conservationists, archaeologists and students to learn and understand how to conserve metal.

Japanese Quality Assurance has conducted annual auditing of Angkor Environmental Management of APSARA Authority from 16th to 18th January 2018. The launch of the audit was held on the morning of 16th January, presided over by H.E Mr. Sok Leakena, Director of Angkor Environmental Management Unit of APSARA Authority including Mr. Kozo Sakurada and Mr. Yamada Mamoru, JQA auditors.
The Southeast gallery of Churning of the Ocean of Milk at Angkor Wat will have wooden ceiling restored. The wooden ceiling of this gallery is a collaborative project of APSARA Authority and World Monuments Fund (WMF).
In the morning of January 15, 2018, PAAGERA's Project for Cleaning Water and Water Management organized a presentation on the Results of the Sanitation Marketing Pilot Project to share experiences to 35 staffs of APSARA Authority.
