APSARA Authority contributes in construction of Administrative Center of Siem Reap Provincial Departments

Siem Reap luxury administrative center, located along the road 60 meters (Angkor Kyung Yu) was officially inaugurated on 14 May 2017 chaired by H.E. Mr. Tea Banh, Deputy Prime Minister, which is the high representative of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, including APSARA Authority officials, monks and civil servants at all levels.

According to H.E. Mr. Khim Bun Song, Governor of Siem Reap province, said that provincial administrative center construction started on 20 October 2014, which covers on the area of six hectares with 12 twin buildings and 2 single buildings, which divided into 26 departments. Each building is 20.50 meters X 23.80 meters and has two floors with 15 rooms, a meeting hall, an equipment room and three document storage rooms. In addition, this is also an area of 2.50 hectares of land for a public square and land reserves of 0.63 acres.

APSARA Authority contributes nine hectares of land for the request of the Siem Reap Province Hall, which is located in the former of Cultural Tourism City to build this center.

On the morning of June 22, 2017, at the 28th Technical Session of ICC-Angkor, two memorandum of understanding are signed between APSARA Authority and Chinese Academy of Cultural Heritage, China and between APSARA Authority and Indigo Gandhi National Center for the Arts, India. The signing ceremony is presided over by H. E. Ms. Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts and as President of APSARA, and signed by H.E Dr. Sum Map, Director General of APSARA, Mr. Xu Yan, Deputy Director of Chinese Academy of Cultural Heritage and Mrs. Vinita SRISVASTAVA, Secretary General of IGNCA.
During the 28th Technical Session of ICC-Angkor, delegations from the national institutions, embassies, and other institutions, which are active in restoration and conservation in the region of Angkor, pay respect to Samdech Vibol Panna Sok Ann, Former Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for the Office of the Council of Ministers and President of APSARA Authority for his 100-Day Ceremony at APSARA Authority Center.
