APSARA Authority contributes in construction of Administrative Center of Siem Reap Provincial Departments

Siem Reap luxury administrative center, located along the road 60 meters (Angkor Kyung Yu) was officially inaugurated on 14 May 2017 chaired by H.E. Mr. Tea Banh, Deputy Prime Minister, which is the high representative of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, including APSARA Authority officials, monks and civil servants at all levels.

According to H.E. Mr. Khim Bun Song, Governor of Siem Reap province, said that provincial administrative center construction started on 20 October 2014, which covers on the area of six hectares with 12 twin buildings and 2 single buildings, which divided into 26 departments. Each building is 20.50 meters X 23.80 meters and has two floors with 15 rooms, a meeting hall, an equipment room and three document storage rooms. In addition, this is also an area of 2.50 hectares of land for a public square and land reserves of 0.63 acres.

APSARA Authority contributes nine hectares of land for the request of the Siem Reap Province Hall, which is located in the former of Cultural Tourism City to build this center.




























171 illegal constructions in Angkor Park, with 140 cases were completely demolished and 31 cases were agreed to demolish by the owners in nine days.
The illegal construction, which was built during commune election campaign along the road from Siem Reap International Airport to Angkor Wat in Veal Village, Kork Chak district, belonging to Mrs. Oeum Sreypich, was reshuffled by the Joint Committee on August 15th, 2017 after the owner broke the promise to demolish it by herself for several times.
Mrs. Sap Kuon, a resident of Nokor Kroa village, who found an ancient ceramic pot while she was clearing the land for corn plantation, located in north of house near Tonle Snguot temple.
The campaign of demolishing the illegal constructions in Angkor Park, which is implemented by the Joint Committee including APSARA, Siem Reap Authority, including relevant institutions, has been conducted for four days so far.
During the 15-day course of Khmer history and archaeological excavation at Tonle Snguot Temple, 15 participants, who are from different countries including Cambodia, Singapore, Australia, India, Myanmar, Malaysia, the United States, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines concluded the final visit to Preah Norodom Sihanouk-Angkor Museum on August 11th, 2017.
